The Wetzel County Family Resource Network is currently going through a transition period. During this time, updates will be made when possible, however until this transition is completed, regular updates will not be posted, and events will not be planned.
Please continue to use the published directory on our website for needed services. We are looking forward to completing this process and getting back to work supporting the people of Wetzel County.
Although the river is due to crest lower then originally expected the Officers of the board have requested the meeting be cancelled that is scheduled for Tuesday. We will be sending out a new date for March. We’ve had many businesses and families move everything in preparation for flooding and we thought it best to give them the time they need to get everything situated.
Due to the widespread flu that is hitting our area, and because of some further preparation for upcoming events, we will be postponing our FRN Meeting until Tuesday, February 27th. The meeting will still take place from Noon to 2:00 PM. A light lunch will be served. The meeting will take place at West Virginia Northern Community College, New Martinsville Campus. The physical address is 141 Main Street, New Martinsville West Virginia.
Our second annual Paws with Claus will be held on December 17th, 2017, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Bring your pet to the Lewis Wetzel Family Center and they can get their picture taken with Santa. (Human family members are welcome to get in the picture, too!)
Last year was our first year for this event, and we were uncertain as to how it would go. Happily, we had 27 families and pets come to the event and absolutely loved it.
This event is free, and we are so happy to be able to bring it to the community again.
It’s that time of year again! Do your holiday cleaning and help out the Wetzel County Family Resource Network.
